Development Update 11/15/24


Hey there! We’re finally ready to unveil our final boss, as well as a handful of new features, overhauls, and improvements alongside it. We thank you for your patience with us this semester – this is what it's all been leading up to. As always, we hope you’ll enjoy it!

The One That Got Away

> After all these years, he’s back. Will you be able to take him down this time? Or will he force you into retirement once more… *If you manage to beat him, let us know in the Discord, and we’ll add a brand new fish to catch in your honor!*

New Music & Overhauled SFX

> There are some fantastic new tracks for various levels, as well as brand new sound effects throughout the game! We aren’t finished overhauling everything just yet, but this should give you a glimpse into how we’re raising the bar for the future.

Lighting

> Environmental lights make each level look *goooooood*...

Cutscenes

> When you fish a boss for the first time, a brief intro cinematic will serve as a proper introduction. 

New Art Assets

> The Oil Rig is starting to look like an oil rig… plus some other small props!

Improved UI
> Changes to menus should make everything a bit more streamlined.
