Development Update 6/28/24

Changelog

This week’s build is focused on cleaning up loose ends and addressing your feedback from last week. You can check out the following:

Trajectory Preview

> Holding down right-click now shows the anticipated trajectory of the fishing line, as well as indicating whether a surface is fishable or grappleable. 

Right-Click Reel-in

> We’ve decided to switch the left-click to initiate the minigame to right-click in order to achieve more consistency (Right click to reel in when grappling, but left click to reel in when fishing? Right click for both!)

Boss Difficulty Adjustements

> We spent some time tuning the difficulty of Mini Minnow, Big Bass, and Crude Crab according to feedback to make the experience more consistent and (slightly) less frustrating. 

UI Improvements

> We implemented a new Health Bar for Bosses, in addition to adding a temporary mouse reticle to be more noticeable and clear.

Miscellaneous Fixes & Improvements

> We tweaked more small things than we can keep track of! Thanks again for all your help and input last week.

Known Bugs

Trajectory Preview Issues

> The trajectory preview occasionally flashes the ‘X’ icon when transferring between fishable and grappleable areas. Additionally, the preview does not account for bosses in the ‘Fish Him’ state.
